It literally took a team effort to get Megan into this.. and by team effort I mean Michelle and Jash struggled while I stood there and took pictures. We had a great shoot in Orlando for Brink Magazine.
Special thanks to Saks Fifth Avenue at The Florida Mall, and TUNI Boutique in Winter Park.

Yanick Dery X3 Inspiration
I've been following Yanick Dery since I was in college (granted that wasn't very long ago); he has always been a huge inspiration to me. His work has so much drama, and on a technical level is perfect. I particularly love this series because it's kind of mysterious (still dramatic), but also because I love the plus size model. I want to see more plus size woman in the industry (which means I need to be shooting them as well)-- this shoot is amazing to me, because you're first thought with this work isn't to notice the plus size model; you're first thought is to think about it as a beautiful fashion photograph. In my opinion that is the true bridge in the body gap with in the industry.... Create the work for beauty, leave the body issues and standards at the door.

September
X3 is in the planning stages for our next shoot for BRINK mag. For the September issue I'm thinking alot of reds, shooting in the woods... Red Riding Hood inspired. So this is a collage I made for my my blog, but since it's relevant to X3, and our inspiration, I thought I'd share.

Why hello there.
Here at X3, we've been beyond busy-- managing our professional & personal lives, and still finding time to shoot for us. We recently were given a feature in BRINK magazine, it will be a reoccurring fashion editorial.. so we're very excited about that. Hopefully as we become more organized we will be posting more. In the mean time I love love this shoot.
I love how it's kind of making fun of the blond plastic subculture... but does it in a fun way. The huge fake boobs and nipple showing through clothes.. I love it.
